Men win and are on the verge of the Championship

Unbeaten and with a 2-game lead over second-placed signs are on rise. A guest on Sunday was the third-placed from Stuttgart.

Due to Injury power outages Coach Carl Steffen the starting lineup readily adapt. But the men were well into the game and were able after two passes already with 7:2 take the lead. But Stuttgart did not give and could in the meantime to 7:4 shorten, before a downpour interrupted the game.

After the break, the Mohawks were better back in the game and put in the seventh inning 5 more runs after. With a secure lead of avoidable 7 Runs it went into the last inning. This guide was ultimately necessary, because Stuttgart which presented, due to errors of Nagolder, again gained a lot. At the end was a bit happier 12:10-Victory for Nagold on the scoreboard.

Coach Carl Steffen brought it to the point: "Today we have made an unusual number of defensive errors. But the fact is, in every game there are different player, decide for us the game. We play as a team and win as a team. "

Already with the next home game on 10. August, the team the championship and thus secure promotion to the highest league in Baden-Württemberg. With the Ulm Falcons the table last comes, could be clearly beaten in the first leg. A feasible task.

Soft shooting have to plug more defeats

Not only, that in the current season still no victory to beech stands, with a double matchday hit the spare weakened Softball Women last weekend doubly difficult.

So it was on Saturday with the minimum number of 9 Players in Stuttgart guest.

Without variations and under the intense heat crept in from the start error into play the Nagoldtalsperre Mohawks. On the other side was a consistent defensive work the offensive attempts of Nagolder be prevented. It quickly the game with a 14:1-Terminated defeat.

Significantly more hope they put Sundays on the basement battle against the syndicate Ladenburg / Schriesheim. A win could have been proposed for the red lantern. Unfortunately, in this game, the squad strength was clearly, so that it came on some positions to changes.

But as the day before, the ladies from Nagold were partially self in the way. Against a good pitcher on guests side the ladies hardly put balls in play. Defensive back there were individual errors, simply made it to the opponent, to collect the necessary runs. Ultimately went with this game 2:19 lost prematurely.

"It is a pity, that we could bring no victory again today. We need to position the new team and plan with a fresh start in the national league "summed Marc Meusel directly after the game.

The last home game of the season, a catch-up game, against Karlsruhe is not yet terminated. Even with a win, is one with the descent from Baden-Württemberg highest Softball League set apart must.

Auch Offensiv war James Fox mit 5 Hits, including a homerun, the guarantor of the ultimate 5:17-Success.

Just one day later, the Pirates were in Heilbronn Nagold guest. With a wide cadre strength in the back Nagolder started furiously and contact 5 Runs in the first pass, the guests equal under pressure. Against the strong offensive and defensive play, the known constant guests from Heilbronn found no remedy. More 18 Runs in the second and third game section sealed the 23:2-Defeat after nearly three quarters of an hour.

The fact that this victory was a collective team, occupied the statistics impressive. 15 Players were used and were given a combined total of 27 Impact opportunities where 20 ended in hits.

Softball Women's continue with empty hands

For the soft shooting it went last Saturday against the Karlsruhe Cougars. The team of Marc Meusel is winless so far and was willing to retract the first victory in a foreign.

In the first pass, the ladies could also achieve the same the first run, but had to due to strong shocks and some field errors already in return 8 Insert Runs. This residue paralyzed the Nagolder in the further course. Also, a repeated gasp with 6 Runs in the fourth inning was the 19:9-Not prevent defeat.

Best blow wife was Nadine Deibler, at the 3 Try with 2 Hits und 1 RBI was successful.

Despite the defeat, however, an improvement was recognizable on the offensive. "Leider" under Coach Marc Meusel, "We have on the defensive yet dramatic deficits. Although subsides on a hot day like today, the concentration quickly, Do not pass this error ".

Youth is vice-champion of the Youth League

The youth team was the season finale in Reutlingen guest. That at the end of a brief 10:11-Was the victory Nagolder to Beech, was held before the game because of the last games for any possible.

But the Mohawks made off with a faltering campaign and many unnecessary mistakes on the defensive life itself difficult, so Reutlingen seen over the course of play, actually was the slightly better team. Reasons for this may be the lack of training participation in recent weeks.

Even luck was not always on the side of the Mohawks. So Leo Burrer got at the beginning of his Pitchereinsatzes a batted ball directly on his arm and had to be replaced injured. Hold the victory, could finally Aaron Otlik, the threat in the draw held his nerve and the batsman sent with a strikeout back to the bench.
