Change in youth management – new youth leader Julia Nöther

With the elimination of the SG in the youth sector, we made a decision, to reassign the youth leadership.

Julia Moshiransari had taken over the youth leadership in Nagold alongside her position in Herrenberg and had a significant impact on the SG over the past few years.

In 2021 we will perform without SG, so that both Julia in Herrenberg, just as we Mohawks have to focus more on our own clubs. Which is not always easy in the current Corona situation.

The board would like to thank Julia for the work she has done and promises to continue to promote close contact with Herrenberg in the future.

Julia Nöther will take over the new youth leadership.

Here, too, the board would like to thank you for accepting this position and wish you every success.

Season opener for the Baseball Youth

Last Saturday joined the youth team of in winter temperatures for their first game of the season against the Royals in Gammertingen Wanderers Baseball Park.

As unbeaten champion 2018 had the youth team of the syndicate Herrenberg / Nagold to take a major age-related break in winter, so the favorite role clearly attributed to the strong Gammertingen Royals was. But in spite of the age-related change of many performers at the junior / Junior not afraid to charge Wanderers, but are currently a total of 23 baseball-loving children in school- and adolescence in the squad of the syndicate Herrenberg Wanderers / Nagold Mohawks.

Against the Royals so almost the whole team played for the first time in a “right” League performance and shown to be many great games and more success in the coming years in the student and youth hope, even if for 2019 stands in the foreground, to gain match experience, Positions like pitcher- try and catcher and to keep the fun and team spirit high.

The Wanderers started off right well thanks to strong pitching from the nine year old debutant Sebastian Krauss, the total 3 Strikeouts in his 3 could achieve innings. After 5 Points for Gammertingen then joined the Wanderers youth team already on the offensive. And here could then also the also only nine years old Melvin Garcia, the youngest just the first batsman also make his debut, followed by many other debutants, all in their first game seasoned. Overall, the Wanderers were in this same inning 2 Points by Nico Haidt (Hit-by-Pitch) and Emil plaintiff (2-Base-Hit) zum 2:5 reloading, before it went on the defensive.

In the next inning, the strong playing Gammertinger Base Baller indoor and baseball player scored points continuously and won ultimately sovereign with 23:4.

Proud young baseball player must despite defeat but definitely be and with additional courage at bat and the support of some because forming in the Easter vacation Player works certainly the next game, the own points yield even better.

Syndicate Nagold / Herrenberg is youth champion

A previously highly successful season without defeat was held last Saturday, the 30. June the culmination – ahead of the championship was in the top duel against the Royals Gammertingen 2018 be saved.

In domestic and well-attended Mohawk Park, the hosts had to cope with a backlog at the beginning. With 3 Runs after heavy blows of Gammertinger was starting pitcher Sarah Kutschera got the same under pressure. but a double play Azra Sevil ended the offensive urge and prevented further damage.

In return, however, the SG Nagold / Herrenberg was only 1 Run, but stabilized from now on the defensive and the pitching, so guests were left without points in the passages two and three. In contrast, the offensive team ran correctly. With broad strokes, including three home runs of Kayra Sevil, managed the change of leadership and a projection was developed. 4 Runs in the third, 6 Runs in the fourth and again 5 Runs in the fifth inning brought the team to winning ways.

A small gasp of Gammertinger with 4 Runs in the fourth and 2 Runs in the sixth passage verbufften without taking much damage. So they brought in the sixth passage in the situation with 3 to force runs and the premature end after 10-run rule. By 3 Walks were able to occupy the bases and then it was one of three homers by Kayra Sevil, made the required runs for the walk-off perfectly.

Coach Simon Mohr: "Today we saw one of the best youth games this year. Tolle Defensive, strong offensive team performance and a class-. After the residue has not given up and continue to believe in themselves and fought. ".

With the 7. victory in 7. Game is absolutely deserved the championship. Throughout the year, the mix of young, fit older and experienced players. The pitching of Sarah Kutschera was the bar in the league and over the entire season. Offensive was Kayra Sevil on Saturday the benchmark with 4 Hits bei 4 Try.

Next week is the SG in Reutlingen the season finale guest. Perhaps the feat of a perfect season succeeds - that is without a defeat to finish the season.

Sarah Kutschera 3-4 (1 Single, 1 Double, 1 Triple)

Eric Österle 2-2 (2 Singles)

Emil Kläger 2-3 (1 Single, 1 Triple)

Max Lippmann 2-3 (2 Singles)

Chris Dantas-Gamerdinger 2-3 (2 Singles)

Azra Sevil 1-3 (1 Single)

Sven Petrasch 1-2 (1 Single)
